CM Service

Yesterday was the first day of our school's senior service project. All of the seniors had to show up at their chosen site for five hours of volunteering. Instead of having school every wednesday the senior class volunteers for five hours on wednesdays for the rest of the year. My senior service project is at the German nurisng home in my hometown. Yesterday i showed up along with a couple other students from Catholic Memorial and volunteered from 9 to 2. My volunteering time consisted of helping out a group of elderly people with dementia. I played bingo with the elderly and many other games throughout the day. I got to see what it would be like to work in a nursing home with elderly people. It was a great experience and I learned a lot from the people at the nursing home. Overrall I am very happy with the site I chose and am looking forward to finishing my senior service project there.
